Republicans have stayed consistently high, hovering around 90% throughout the period—like maintaining a steady sense of enthusiasm at a long-running family reunion. Independents saw a moderate decline from about 84% to 53%, similar to gradually losing interest in a once-favorite hobby. Observers note that while policy moderation gets attention, fostering a stronger embrace of the nation itself could be key for one side.
