WTF Is Happening with Elon: What Most Narratives Miss
That's a real serious company by any measure, but to get from roughly 19 billion to 1 trillion in 5 years, one have to multiply the revenue by about 54 times. The largest annual revenue any company has ever produced in the history of capitalism was Amazon at around $716 billion and more recently Anthropic with upwards of $40 billion. Now, the most bullish or optimistic forecast on Wall Street for SpaceX in 2030 comes from Goldman Sachs at around 470 billion. It lost about $650 million because they're pouring roughly $3 billion a year into developing the new Starship rocket. There are over 10,000 of these satellites in orbit right now, serving over 10 million subscribers in 164 countries. And Starlink did about $11.4 billion in revenue in 2025 with $4.4 billion in operating profits. The combined entity was valued at around $1.25 trillion, roughly a trillion for SpaceX, and roughly 250 billion for XAI.
