Elon quoted an 18x jump in intelligence per joule. A Cybertruck on FSD braked a red-light runner a human would have hit. Grok Bot is starting to look like a computer you text, including a home robot.

Amjad Masad posted an 18x jump in intelligence per joule in 16 months. Elon quoted it and said the curve keeps going. If models get that much smarter per watt this fast, the bottleneck is power and interconnects, not the next chatbot. Energy and compute are the same trade now.

FSD braked. A human would not have.

Cody was 500 miles into a drive with his 77-year-old dad. An older Corolla blew a red at 60 mph, more than 3 seconds late, hidden behind stopped cars. Tesla FSD was driving the Cybertruck. Human perception-response is 0.8 to 2.5 seconds. He clocked FSD at about 0.25. He says it may have saved a life.

Grok Bot is a computer, not a chat box

Lee Robinson laid out why Grok Bot feels different. No UI to learn. Thin client, fat server. An always-on cloud computer instead of a fresh VM every prompt. Browser plus code, so it can click through a site and then script the job. That is closer to a worker than a chatbot.

Yun-Ta Tsai asked Grok Bot to connect his Matic. The feature shipped. He can now text the robot where to clean from anywhere. That is an agent issuing a work order to a home robot without a custom app.

Grok Bot shows up in SpaceX earnings

Farzad says the next SpaceX earnings print gets interesting because of Grok Bot. He already moved about 80% of his workflows off Hermes, OpenClaw, Claude Code, and Codex. Speed is the wedge. If that demand sticks, xAI is not a side quest. It is a growth line.

Steve Eisman says the AI boom now hangs on OpenAI and Anthropic. Farzad's reply: a huge majority of his tokens do not come from either, and he is not alone. Those two are still growing anyway. If spend is spreading and the leaders are still up, that is a boom.
