Cancer Vaccine Clears Phase 3

What printed: Moderna and Merck said Wednesday their personalized mRNA shot intismeran autogene (V940/mRNA-4157) plus Keytruda met Phase 3 INTerpath-001 (1,137 people, resected stage IIB–IV melanoma) on recurrence-free and distant metastasis-free survival versus Keytruda alone. No hazard ratios. Overall survival is still running. This is adjuvant melanoma after surgery, not a cure.

Amazon drones, 500 cities this year

Amazon said Wednesday Prime Air plans to reach nearly 500 U.S. cities and towns by the end of 2026, up from 11 sites in seven states. Deliveries as fast as 30 minutes, most around an hour, on millions of items under 5 lbs. Amazon: more than 60% of the items customers most frequently buy are eligible. That's the plan, not the current map.

OpenAI says public in 2027

CNBC: CFO Sarah Friar told staff OpenAI will be a public company in 2027, or sooner if the business keeps inflecting. Slides showed revenue run rate up 35% quarter to date, enterprise revenue run rate up 50% quarter to date, and AI coding and work product at 20 million weekly active users. That 20 million is not labeled agent users. The 35% is run-rate, not ARR.

It's AI or bust

Farzad quoted the interest chart and wrote: It's AI or bust. CBO's February 2026 baseline has net interest at about $1.0 trillion in FY2026, third after Social Security and Medicare, and $1.22 trillion in FY2028 versus Social Security of $1.67 trillion this year and $1.88 trillion in 2028. Interest does not pass Social Security by 2028.
