Farzad: Louisiana Just Locked Starbase

Farzad congratulated Louisiana on Starbase, framed SpaceX Starlink giveback as Abundance in practice, and amplified a May Rainey Center message test that still left data-center favorability underwater.

Louisiana just locked Starbase

SpaceX, Aug 25: Starbase, Louisiana, a $100+ billion high-cadence launch site near Pecan Island in Vermilion Parish. Construction expected to begin by the end of 2027. First Starship launch targeted as soon as 2029. Design capacity is thousands of launches a year, not a licensed cadence. Farzad, quoting Sawyer's recap: congrats to Louisiana for securing its future as a primary player in the next-generation of the human economy. Farzad's reaction, not a SpaceX IR quote.

Starlink giveback as Abundance proof

Sawyer, Aug 25: SpaceX introduced a 50% discount on Starlink Residential monthly for new and existing customers in the eligible Vermilion Parish zone, where Starbase, Louisiana will be built. No upfront hardware cost for new Residential signups. Farzad: another way to prove out the Abundance thesis. Farzad's frame, not a SpaceX program name.

+31 is a May Rainey message test

Wow!!!! That's a Rainey Center message test from May 2026, not a brand-new overnight poll. After they told 1,010 registered voters that modern data centers can recycle the same cooling water for up to 10 years, 37% became more supportive and 6% less, a +31 net swing. Overall favorability was still underwater. Polymarket Money posted the +31 on Aug 25 without naming the poll. The 10-year water line is the stimulus they read, not a finding. Farzad amplified the post.
