Uber in the West: profit per mile collapses first

Farzad, Sep 5, replying in-thread: not all markets. huge majority. Purchasing power is in the west relative to the other nations. If Uber loses meaningful share in the west then their profit per mile will collapse much faster than in the rest of the world. That is Farzad’s economics read, not an Uber IR filing cited in the tweet.

Separately he argued Tesla should take what it learned and launch a new generation of AI-driven vehicles people can buy. Cybercab marks a new line in the sand: cars before it were primarily human-driven; Cybercab and post-Cybercab products are designed from the ground up for AI, with passenger comfort, calm, entertainment, and convenience.
