Farzad: Grok Bot Picks the Best Model + SpaceX Videos + $40B Chip Debt + Terafab
Farzad posted SpaceX Just Dropped a Product That Changes the Math, SpaceX Could Become Earth's Largest Energy Provider and No Steering Wheel. No Pedals. Just Ride. He called Elon's note that Grok Bot will use the best back end model for any task the best possible course for SpaceX and Grok Bot, quote-tweeted his own earlier posts asking for exactly that, and said the largest value will be in compute. He also said a moon-sized GPU cluster isn't going to be enough, laid out why AI can end the West's boring job system without ending jobs, said the world's best entrepreneurs will all be coders, RTd SawyerMerritt's Starlink V3 deploy video and poteto on Opus 5.5 powering bots, and liked KobeissiLetter on SpaceX's $40B chip debt talks, Elon on Terafab, poteto's Grok Bot release bots and nickgraynews on FSD v14.3.
Grok Bot picks the best model (his call)
Farzad liked Elon, Oct 7 early morning CT: Important note regarding Grok @Bot: Going forward, @SpaceX will use the best back end model for any given task, including Claude Opus 5.5, MidJourney, Suno and other leading APIs. Whatever is most likely to give you the best outcome.
Farzad, Oct 7 morning CT: This is the best possible course for SpaceX and Grok Bot: they're gonna have the most compute long term, which will power most models that will power Grok Bot anyway. Really smart move. Just focus on creating the best possible orchestrator harness for any task. $SPCX. Quoted Elon's note. His take.
Farzad, Oct 7 morning CT: YES!!!!! Quoted his own Aug 28 post: Grok @bot will be insanely powerful if it's completely model agnostic and the @SpaceXAI simply hyper-focuses on creating the greatest orchestrator AI of all time. In that post he said the orchestrator would know what model is best at what at the best possible cost and fastest speed.
Farzad, Oct 7 morning CT: My dreams are coming true. Thank you Grok @bot!!!!!!! Quoted his own Sept 22 post: Someone make an AI that automatically picks the best AI for any given task please. THANK YOU!
Farzad, Oct 7 morning CT: The largest value will be in compute. SpaceX can do this because people's models are gonna run on their clusters. Replying to JCChristopher, who asked if this is an early sign that models will ultimately be commoditized and the larger value will be in the harnesses and interface. The compute call is Farzad's.
Farzad RTd poteto, Oct 7 morning CT: all bots will be powered by opus 5.5, and they can spawn cloud agents of whatever cursor models we have. Replying to kr0der.

SpaceX videos + Starlink V3 off Starship
Farzad, Oct 7 morning CT: SpaceX Just Dropped a Product That Changes the Math (native X video). Titles only.
Farzad, Oct 6 evening CT: SpaceX Could Become Earth's Largest Energy Provider (native X video). Titles only.
Farzad RTd SawyerMerritt, Oct 6 late morning CT: SpaceX has just released the video of the first operational Starlink V3 satellites being deployed into orbit from Starship. One of the best shots they've ever gotten (SawyerMerritt's call).

SpaceX's $40B chip debt + moon-sized compute
Farzad liked KobeissiLetter, Oct 6 evening CT: SpaceX ($SPCX) is in talks with banks and investors to raise $40 billion of debt to buy chips from Nvidia amid "insatiable demand" among AI developers. The split is about $10 billion in bank loans and $30 billion in investment-grade debt (per KobeissiLetter, citing Bloomberg; the Financial Times first reported it, per Reuters). KobeissiLetter's read: the AI Revolution is even stronger than most people realize.
Farzad, Oct 6 late evening CT: Guys I don't think turning the moon into a giant GPU cluster is going to be enough.... Quoted BogusThought: After watching this video, I strongly believe we need more GPUs and data centers!!! His take.

Terafab: "we will build and run the fab"
Farzad liked Elon, Oct 7 early morning CT: No, we will build and run the fab. Let there be ZERO doubt about that. Maybe TSMC subleases part of the Terafab if they want, but nothing more than that. Replying to herbertong, who reported TSMC is exploring a role in Terafab, Elon's Texas chip project, with Elon's earlier reply being "Just discussions, but something may come of it." herbertong also cited thejefflutz calling it the battery playbook again: build at a scale nobody else will, and suppliers can't afford to sit out.

Grok Bot runs a software release
Farzad liked poteto, Oct 6 early afternoon CT: poteto automated their team's release and QA process with two Grok Bot Team Bots in Slack: sandcastle, the release manager, and poteto, the engineer bot. sandcastle DMs contributors links to their PRs before a cut, kicks off and watches the build, then starts an automated fuzz swarm, usually 10+ agents on Grok 4.7 xhigh that use the build like a real user. Some are directed, a few are "chaos monkey" clicking things randomly to see what breaks. When it finds an issue, the engineer bot spins up a Cursor Project to triage and fix the high priority issues. Depending on severity, the fix gets cherry picked into a patch release or ships in the next release (per poteto).

AI and the West's boring jobs (his take)
Farzad, Oct 6 afternoon CT: Long post quoting The Daily Show, where former Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon and Jon Stewart discuss AI, jobs disappearing, universal income, and whether tech CEOs are creating a dystopian future (per TheDailyShow).
His argument: the West built a system of boring, repetitive jobs people HAVE to work to survive, and his guess is 20% or less of people are passionate about how they make money. If executed correctly, which he says depends heavily on how economic and government systems enable broad distribution of AI's value, people get a SIGNIFICANT increase in standard of living: far cheaper medical diagnostics and treatments, cheaper high-quality housing from automated build outs, cheaper and more effective education, and cheaper, safer transportation from autonomous vehicles.
Jobs will NOT disappear, they will change, he says. Could you have pictured a YouTuber in 1920? Or a coder in 1800? He's extremely confident demand for people's natural talents and passions will exist in far greater quantities. He also wants Elon and Jon Stewart to sit down for a long-form discussion about the future of civilization in the age of AI, betting there's far more overlap than expected, to BUILD TRUST that a POSITIVE future will happen. All projections are Farzad's.

Entrepreneurs will all be coders (his take)
Farzad, Oct 6 early afternoon CT: I think we're trending towards a world where the world's best entrepreneurs will all be coders. I never imagined myself at this stage in my life going head-first into coding to create videos.
Check coders post here.
No wheel, no pedals + FSD v14.3 "like Opus 5.5"
Farzad, Oct 6 evening CT: No Steering Wheel. No Pedals. Just Ride (native X video). Titles only.
Farzad liked nickgraynews, Oct 6 afternoon CT: I'm still amazed there are people who use Claude Code and Codex on the daily yet don't own a Tesla. Tesla's FSD v14.3 is like Opus 5.5. It just works. Imagine Astra-level computer use, but for driving your car. If you drive 30+ minutes a day and haven't gotten a Tesla because you "love to drive," you sound like a programmer still hand-coding Perl and PHP (per nickgraynews).

Farzad, Oct 6 late morning CT: The most 2026 thing you'll read today. Quoted Polymarket: cartel members from Mexico and Colombia are reportedly fighting alongside Ukraine to gain experience with battlefield drones (per Polymarket, reported, not confirmed).
