Farzad: Grok Bot Edits His Video + AI Bubble Folks + HW3 FSD Insurance + Tesla Shuttle
Farzad said Grok Bot fully edited his Elon's Latest Post Is A HUGE Deal video, told repliers it used Opus, and shared his Video Creator Grok Bot. After Elon quoted his Aug 28 orchestrator post, he pitched a $2k per month "entrepreneur tier." He said Hermes suits technical cost maximalists while Grok Bot fits a "normie" like him, and that the AI bubble folks are gonna look mighty silly. On Tesla, he called Lemonade's HW3 discount a huge signal for FSD safety and said he wouldn't be surprised if Tesla builds a fan's Tesla Shuttle concept on the Cybertruck line. He also called Shopify insanely well positioned after Elon's "Seriously" on paulg's Amazon agents post.
Grok Bot edited his video, with Opus inside
Farzad, Oct 7 late afternoon CT: Elon's Latest Post Is A HUGE Deal (native X video). Titles only. Minutes later, in a self-reply: Edited with Grok @bot btw.
Farzad, Oct 7 evening CT: Grok @bot fully edited this video. I gave it the raw video, told it to make it beautiful, and it did. Check out timestamp 1:25 for a cheeky surprise. Quoted his own video post.
In the replies, brycejn asked if it must have used Opus 5.5; Farzad: It did. JustMoreX asked what it used to edit the video; Farzad: Opus. Asked by heyitsyashu how he knows, he said his animation step always goes through Opus under CLI through his oauth, then: Inside of Grok Bot. Asked by Couch_Investor whether he gave it screenshots of the tweets and told it when to put them in the video, he said he just gave it the links and probably didn't even have to do that.
Farzad, Oct 7 late evening CT: Here's my Video Creator Grok Bot. The bot's page, Video Creator by Farzad, describes it as making one educational explainer video at a time, covering topic and research, script, voice, hand-drawn style animation, edit and QA.
Farzad, Oct 8 morning CT: It can but it's slow and inefficient. If that can be sped up then OH BOY. Replying to poteto, who told argofowl that Grok Bot can control your computer already, just tell it to, it just doesn't have the cool a11y tree stuff.
Farzad, Oct 8 morning CT: Use the mini to render video files locally. Way faster than in the cloud. Replying to mikepat711, who clarified that the earlier post about throwing a Mac mini in the trash and maxing out Grok Bot wasn't serious; what changed is Grok Bot now picks the best model from any prompt automatically. Farzad liked Elon quoting that earlier post, Oct 7 late evening CT: Grok @Bot gets better every day.

Elon quotes his orchestrator post + an "entrepreneur tier"
Farzad liked Elon, Oct 7 late morning CT: Whatever it take for @Bot to deliver the best product experience for users. Elon was quoting Farzad's Aug 28 post: Grok @bot will be insanely powerful if it's completely model agnostic and the @SpaceXAI simply hyper-focuses on creating the greatest orchestrator AI of all time.
Farzad, Oct 7 early afternoon CT, replying to Elon: This is the way. I would suggest coming out with an "entrepreneur tier" of sorts for like $2k per month and just give a metric-shit-ton of tokens so 90%+ of use cases will be more than covered. The pricing idea is his.
Farzad, Oct 7 afternoon CT: They own their compute and are growing it like crazy. Long term, most models will run on their clusters anyway. Might as well serve them at cost in their own harness! Replying to chrismaconi, who asked if Elon was sending a message to the Grok team and said Grok Bot was built by the Cursor team, not the Grok team (chrismaconi's claim). The clusters call is Farzad's. He also liked ArthurMacwaters, Oct 7 late morning CT: What Elon is doing with @bot using other models as needed is how you play the game when you own compute btw.
Farzad, Oct 7 afternoon CT: Grok @bot. Quoted his own Aug 12 post: The most important equation for getting the share of profits in the AI space: (Intelligence / Cost) x Speed. Farzad liked two Elon posts on routing that day. Late morning CT: Simple questions will route to small, fast models. Questions with complex answers will route to large models. Afternoon CT: most @Bot requests are pretty simple and will be handled by a lightning-fast version of Grok 4.8 when that comes out, with the operating principle of giving Grok Bot users the best possible combination of speed & intelligence.

Hermes vs Grok Bot (his take)
Farzad, Oct 7 afternoon CT: I think Hermes has a bright future as an open source harness for companies/individuals that want total and complete control. For a "normie" like me, Grok @bot is a FAR better fit because I don't have the time (or the patience) to optimize an agentic set up. I'll gladly pay a premium to a company like @SpaceXAI to do it for me. But for very technical/cost efficiency maximalists, Hermes is INSANELY good.
He quoted Teknium: Friendly reminder that Hermes was never built or intended to be exclusively for the "personal assistant" agent that can just read your emails and nothing else. Teknium says Hermes was always built to be the most powerful AI Agent.
Farzad, Oct 7 afternoon CT: Grok Bot. Replying to EdLudlow: Muse is really starting to annoy me.

Grok Bot reviews pile up
Farzad, Oct 7 evening CT: If Anthropic is worth $2 Trillion, so is Grok Bot IMO FOR SURE. Quoted his own Aug 17 post: If Anthropic is worth $2 Trillion, so is Grok Bot IMO. The valuation view is his.
Farzad RTd iruletheworldmo, Oct 7 late evening CT: iruletheworldmo gave Grok Bot access to legal files they'd been working on with Claude and ChatGPT for six months, and it immediately spotted gaps, misfiled errors and a hell of a lot more that their team and AI checks had missed. "this is freakishly good" (per iruletheworldmo).
Farzad RTd iruletheworldmo again, Oct 8 morning CT: how is grokbot this good. i'm testing it extensively against everything else and its just destroying. handles everything i throw at it. Farzad's reply: It's incredible.
Farzad RTd KettlebellDan, Oct 7 late evening CT: the better Grok Bot gets the more I realize just how truly awful Siri is.
Farzad RTd davis7, Oct 7 late evening CT: TL;DR: grok bot is the best one by far. Muse is good, but if ur reading this post it's not for u, and Dots needs work. That's from davis7's video on "personal assistant" agents.
Farzad liked BrianRoemmele, Oct 7 late evening CT: As of tomorrow I will have brought 71 of my large clients to @Grok @Bot at their corporations. It has not failed to revolutionize each department across a wide spectrum of companies. BrianRoemmele also called it the most important AI tool released thus far (BrianRoemmele's claims). Elon quoted it: It's that good @Bot. Farzad liked that too.
Farzad liked Elon, Oct 7 late evening CT: Grok @Bot is like hiring an extremely competent employee! Elon was quoting Michael_Fenech_'s 53-second walkthrough of the mental model that makes Grok Bot click.
Farzad liked DenisLabelle, Oct 7 late afternoon CT: Grok Bot now has batteries-included support for X, no API key or connector required. Quoting the bot account: Grok Bot can now search, read, and monitor X.

"The AI bubble folks are gonna look mighty silly" (his take)
Farzad, Oct 8 morning CT: The AI bubble folks are gonna look mighty silly. Quoted Elon replying to levie: People have no idea.
Farzad RTd levie, Oct 8 morning CT, and liked it: The compute needed for the stage of AI we're about to enter is going to be insane. levie listed personal agents, agent swarms defending enterprises, agents that review all of our code for security issues, agents that process nearly all enterprise data in workflows and background agents working on tasks 24/7. levie's read: inference volume will keep growing by orders of magnitude, agents also need computers, networking and file systems alongside the tokens, and we're only in the early stages of this buildout. Farzad also liked levie's reply to Elon: Just as long as the fab people have an idea (do they????)
Farzad RTd ivanburazin, Oct 8 morning CT: auchenberg calculated that Muse needs 65,000 CPUs and 75PB of DRAM to serve 100 million users, $2.8B in infra for one app. ivanburazin noted Facebook alone has over 3 billion users and concluded there aren't enough CPUs in the world to run all of this, a worrisome constraint (ivanburazin's math and view). levie's compute post quoted this one.
Farzad, Oct 7 evening CT: NVIDIA Builds Chips. SpaceX Builds the Stack. (native X video). His full video: Everyone Thinks SpaceX's $100B Project Is Rockets (The Secret Plan Is Something Else). Titles only.

Tesla: HW3 insurance signal, Tesla Shuttle, no wheel
Farzad, Oct 8 morning CT: Huge signal for FSD safety on HW3 $TSLA. Quoted shai_wininger: Teslas are insanely safe, but traditional insurance has no clue. Lemonade connects directly to your Tesla and cuts insurance costs by 50% on miles driven with FSD (Supervised), and as of today, HW3 Teslas get 30% off with FSD v14 Lite. Live in AZ, CO and TN, more soon (per shai_wininger). Farzad also liked it. The safety read is his.
Farzad, Oct 7 afternoon CT: Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if Tesla actually builds this on the Cybertruck line. Quoted EthanDriskill introducing the Tesla Shuttle, EthanDriskill's own concept as "an average dad who desperately wants this": There aren't enough options for quality minivans anymore. We actually need this. The Shuttle is a fan concept, not a Tesla announcement; the Cybertruck line call is Farzad's. He liked the concept post too.
Farzad, Oct 7 early afternoon CT: Also Cybercab with steering wheels please. In Elon's thread, a follow-up to his entrepreneur tier pitch about two minutes later.
Farzad, Oct 7 evening CT: Tesla's Wheel-less Car: Future of Driving is Here (native X video). His full video: Tesla's New Product Just Collapsed The Price Of Everything. Titles only.
Farzad RTd SawyerMerritt, Oct 7 afternoon CT: Tesla has released a new video of them doing some winter FSD (Supervised) testing in Switzerland.

Agents vs Amazon: Shopify (his take)
Farzad liked paulg, Oct 7 late evening CT: Amazon banning agents is the first opportunity I've seen since Amazon was founded for a startup to create an Amazon competitor. People will want agents to buy stuff for them. It will be one of the main use cases. And they won't want to use some Amazon-supplied agent to do it.
Farzad RTd Elon, Oct 8 morning CT: Seriously. Elon was quoting paulg's post. Farzad also liked Elon's post and, seconds after the RT, replied to Elon: @Shopify insanely well positioned here. The Shopify call is his.

Starlink on United + the least-served
Farzad liked robinren, Oct 8 morning CT: First time on a @united transatlantic flight equipped with free @Starlink service. The experience is INCREDIBLE. Thank you @SpaceX @elonmusk.
Farzad liked Elon, Oct 8 morning CT: People who oppose @Starlink hurt only the least-served. The wealthy or those living in large cities already have good Internet, so they don't understand. That post quoted an earlier one from Elon: Starlink provides Internet connectivity to the least-served, enabling self-education and prosperity by giving people access to sell their products worldwide!

Farzad, Oct 7 late afternoon CT: Well deserved @elonmusk. Let's also give @altcap the Medal of Freedom for Trump Accounts while we are at it. Quoted StockSavvyShay: President Trump is set to award Elon Musk the nation's highest honor for scientific and technological achievement on Thursday, as Musk's companies expand across space, AI, energy, robotics and transportation (per StockSavvyShay).
Farzad liked astrodanish, Oct 7 late evening CT: today was the first day i felt like i was just operating an army of ai to do my work for me. astrodanish got more done in 3 hours alone than they would have in 30 hours with a team two years ago, and said it is really good at pulling and plotting data from disparate sources.
Farzad liked Claude, Oct 7 afternoon CT: we're halving the price of cache reads on Claude Sonnet 5.5, to $0.10 per million tokens. That makes Sonnet 5.5 around 20% cheaper to run on most long-running work. Posted in Claude's thread announcing Haiku 5.5 is available now on all platforms, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
