Farzad: Dear Amazon, I Am Not an Agent + Elon Floats an Amazon Competitor + Seeing the Roadster Demo Live + Polymarket Says Gasoline-Only Cars Fell Below 50% of New Vehicle Sales
Farzad wrote Wednesday early afternoon CT that Amazon is blocking Farzad from shopping on its website. Elon floated an Amazon competitor Thursday morning. Wednesday afternoon and evening Farzad replied to EmmetPeppers on the Cybercab, quoted Elon's Roadster demo post, quoted Polymarket on gasoline-only cars and asked if CoreWeave is screwed.
"Dear Amazon, I am not an agent"
Farzad, Oct 14 early afternoon CT: Dear Amazon, I am not an agent. Why are you blocking me from shopping on your website? Generational fumble by @amazon.
Elon replied Oct 14 late evening CT: Just ask Grok Bot to find the best deal on the Internet for what you want. Doesn't need to come from Amazon. My Bot bought LEGO directly from the LEGO website no problem.
Farzad liked Elon's reply. About two minutes after it, Farzad replied: The crazy thing is that I'm being blocked from my REGULAR laptop.
thecsguy, Oct 15 morning CT: amazon is blocking grok @bots from ordering, and elon's answer is just have your bot buy it somewhere else. thecsguy added: one of my grok bots only handles my amazon returns, so i'm watching this one closely. The post asked if you would switch stores for your bot and closed with: Elon, i think its time for an X Shop?
Elon quoted thecsguy Oct 15 morning CT: Maybe we should start a competitor to Amazon. Farzad liked and RTd Elon's post. The RT went up about 50 minutes after Elon posted.
The blocking is as Farzad described it. The claim that Amazon is blocking Grok bots from ordering is thecsguy's. Elon's competitor post is a maybe, not an announcement.

"Should I be scared?"
Farzad, Oct 14 late evening CT, quoted Elon: Super lucky to be able to see this live tomorrow. Should I be scared?
Elon's post, Oct 14 late evening CT: The new Tesla Roadster is a candidate for greatest product demo of all time. Farzad liked it.
Elon followed up in a reply to that post, Oct 14 late evening CT: Let's just say that this demo will be a BANGER, probably metaphorically, though some chance literally. Farzad liked that too.
Farzad also liked davelee, Oct 14 evening CT: Looking forward to attending the Roadster event tomorrow. Would be amazing if they gave rides in a Tesla Robovan too.
"Greatest product demo" and BANGER are Elon's words before the demo. All of these posts went up Wednesday night CT and say tomorrow. None of them gives a time or place for the event.

"SUPER polished"
Farzad liked and RTd EmmetPeppers, Oct 14 evening CT: Cybercab experience is legit! Wow! Didn't quite understand until riding it around today for first time.
Farzad replied: SUPER polished.
EmmetPeppers answered Farzad, Oct 14 late evening CT: Yes, even at the end adjusting the drop off dot location to the proper parking lot location was so simple. Farzad liked the reply.
The account of the ride is EmmetPeppers's. SUPER polished is Farzad's take.

Gasoline-only cars below 50% of new sales, per Polymarket
Farzad, Oct 14 evening CT, quoted Polymarket: Incredible moment in transportation history.
Polymarket, Oct 14 late afternoon CT: BREAKING: Gasoline-only cars fall below 50% of global new vehicle sales for the first time in history. Farzad also liked the post.
Elon quoted the same post Oct 14 evening CT: Major threshold passed. Almost all cars will be electric in the future. Farzad liked Elon's QT.
The figure traces to Mobility Global data reported by Nikkei Asia: gasoline-only cars were 49% of global new vehicle sales in the first half of 2026, down from 52% a year earlier. Hybrids are counted separately. The view that almost all cars will be electric is Elon's.

"Is CoreWeave screwed?"
Farzad, Oct 14 late afternoon CT: Is CoreWeave screwed?
Nine minutes earlier, Farzad RTd amitisinvesting. Farzad also liked the post. amitisinvesting, Oct 14 late morning CT: i wonder if Jensen comes out and says something about $CRWV.
According to amitisinvesting, it's almost like overnight the credit markets have become EXTREMELY worried about a credit event happening with CoreWeave, with yields up to 15% and the stock down 16% on the day. amitisinvesting called it Nvidia's preferred neocloud with a very long history working with Nvidia. The post said Jensen even gave CoreWeave a $6B "put" to buy back its unused capacity by 2032 if needed, and that $CRWV has been at the top of SemiAnalysis's ClusterMax rankings for the longest time.
amitisinvesting's read: if CoreWeave is feeling this type of credit fear, it doesn't look great for any of the neoclouds, even ones with less debt. In amitisinvesting's view, any new debt they take on will come at much higher rates, and inflation going up means the Fed might make things worse. The post's question: does Jensen step in and either give cheap capital to CoreWeave or issue a statement to calm the credit markets?
Less than a minute after asking about CoreWeave, Farzad quoted a July 22 post of Farzad's own with: Look out! The July post: AI is going to be a series of rolling bubbles for the next 20 years while the TAM explodes upwards. It's going to be extremely weird to watch.
The yields, the 16% drop and the $6B put are as amitisinvesting posted them. The rolling bubbles call is Farzad's projection from July. "Is CoreWeave screwed?" was a question from Farzad, not a call.

Starshield vs Starlink
Farzad liked Elon's reply to FedorovMykhailo, Oct 14 early afternoon CT. FedorovMykhailo had posted earlier that afternoon: Starlink connectivity at speeds of up to 160 km/h is being restored. Removing Starshield's speed limit entirely is now critical for Ukraine's defense.
Elon: Starshield systems are owned and controlled by the US government. Any limits on speed or usage are decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS. Elon wrote that Starlink is a commercial service owned and controlled by SpaceX. According to Elon, Starlink use is limited to civilian or defensive activities and cannot be used for offensive military action, because that would be inappropriate for a commercial company.

"I was wrong about @bot"
Farzad liked NetworkChuck's post and RTd it Oct 14 afternoon CT. NetworkChuck, Oct 14 late morning CT: Okay. I was wrong about @bot. I said I didn't care. A week in, I get it now. I connected my email, calendar and custom apps, and it just works.

"WE ARE"
tbpn, Oct 14 late afternoon CT, quoting JohnCUrschel: "I think we have pretty good consensus that math is not going to be solved." tbpn described Urschel as a former NFL player and MIT math professor. According to tbpn, Urschel says AI is helping mathematicians move faster than ever, but there's still plenty left to discover: "There's so much farther to go."
Farzad replied about 20 minutes later: WE ARE
