The Pad Is as Hard as the Rocket
SpaceX spent the week on the pad, not the slideshow. Starship 13 flew with Starlink v3, and the physical-AI trade is still sitting there in public.
The pad is the rocket
SpaceX said launch infrastructure is every bit as complicated as the rockets themselves, designed to operate in some of the most extreme conditions on Earth - 3.2 million views. Whoever owns the pad owns cadence, and cadence is the whole space industry.

Fable 5 vs the Jacobian
kimmonismus said Claude Fable 5 produced a hand-checkable counterexample to the Jacobian conjecture, an open problem dating to 1939. An 87-year-old math problem becoming weekend work for a model is how human-only research shrinks over the next decade.

Intelligence per dollar
Gavin Baker called a new Pareto frontier: Grok 4.5, SWE-1.7, and Opus 5. Intelligence per dollar will be the only metric that matters over time, and K3 probably joins the frontier once it is on the inference clouds. The labs that cannot drive cost per unit of intelligence down get priced out.

Starship 13, Starlink v3
Starship 13 flew with Starlink v3. A ship that can throw that generation of satellites is how the network jumps from a consumer product to the backbone of Earth.

Tesla's next 12 months
I think $TSLA will have a massively surprising next 12 months. There is a lot of doom around the name, but it is set up for a shock once the market prices how durable the FSD, Robotaxi, and Optimus moats are against frontier models in the digital space. Hardware and factories are way more valuable than LLMs. Capital rotates from chatbot brands into the plants that can actually touch the world.

The bubble is the labs
The AI bubble is probably OpenAI and Anthropic's valuations, mostly because they do not own their own compute yet. If you own your compute - and better yet, if you design your own chips - you control the most important layer of generating intelligence and you get the lowest cost to serve it. The next 20 years belong to the companies that own the wafer.

Physical AI is the trade
Today's market does not seem to believe AI is going physical in the form of humanoids, self-driving cars, and drones. If it did, Tesla, SpaceX, NVIDIA, and Micron would be 10 to 100x bigger than they are today. If physical AI is the foundation of the next generation of human civilization, those names are still early.

Uber is dead
Waymo made a brilliant move. Uber is a dead company in the age of autonomy. The driver is 60%+ of the cost per mile, and a self-driving fleet that reaches scale has no reason to hand Uber a cut. The ride-hail middleman dies the minute a fleet can undercut a human driver.
